Qinshihuang , the first emperor of all china, established the Qin dynasty with its capital in Xian . His mausoleum was constructed at the age of 13 when he ascended to the throne . The Terracotta Warriors were buried in front of the emperor Qinshihuangs tomb to defend him in the afterlife.
